Please read these terms carefully before booking a service appointment with Julian Berman Piano Service.
Services
I provide professional piano tuning, regulation, repair, restoration, and related services throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskill region. All services are performed by Julian Berman, Certified Piano Technician.
Appointments
All appointments are subject to my review and confirmation. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment until you receive confirmation from me directly.
I require reasonable access to your piano at the confirmed appointment time. If I am unable to access the instrument upon arrival and cannot reach you, a no-show fee will apply.
Fees and Payment
Service fees are outlined on my Services page and are subject to change. The fee for your appointment will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
I accept cash, check, major credit cards, and electronic payments including Venmo and Zelle. A credit card processing fee applies to payments made by card.
A travel fee applies to appointments located beyond 30 miles from Saugerties, NY. Extended travel beyond 40 miles is available on a case by case basis and will be quoted in advance.
A weekend surcharge of $75 applies to appointments scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.
All visits are subject to a one hour minimum charge.
Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $100 fee.
If I arrive for a confirmed appointment and am unable to access the piano or reach you, a $150 no-show fee will be charged.
Estimates and Invoices
Estimates provided in advance reflect the anticipated scope of work based on my assessment of your instrument at that time. Should unexpected issues be discovered during the service, I will notify you before proceeding with any additional work. Final invoices may vary from the original estimate accordingly.
Restoration Work
For restoration and rebuilding projects, a deposit of 75% of the total estimated cost is required before any work begins or parts are ordered. The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion of work.
Restoration timelines are estimates and may vary depending on the scope and complexity of the project.
Limitation of Liability
I take great care with every instrument I service. However, I am not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions discovered during a service appointment, or for issues that arise from factors outside my control such as humidity, environmental conditions, or the age and condition of the instrument.
Privacy
The personal information you provide when booking an appointment is used solely to schedule and confirm your service and communicate with you about your piano. I do not sell or share your information with third parties. For more details please refer to my Privacy Policy.
